Aki Sumawaki is the editor of RE-ATHENS. The name is a pen name, given by friends twenty years ago.

Most of the places on this site are Aki's own finds. The job is sniffing out the next thing in Athens, then deciding whether it has earned a place.

Aki is no photographer, so most of the pictures here come from the venues themselves and the press.
