Who we are

RE-ATHENS is an independent editorial platform covering architecture, food, stays, and culture in Athens and the Athenian Riviera. We are based in Athens, Greece. For data-related enquiries, contact us at hello@re-athens.com.

What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the site:

  • Contact form submissions — name, email address, and message content you choose to send us.
  • Newsletter sign-ups — email address only.
  • Usage data — anonymised analytics (pages visited, session duration) to understand how the site is used. No personal identifiers are stored.

How we use it

  • To respond to enquiries sent via the contact form.
  • To send the RE-ATHENS newsletter if you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
  • To improve the site based on anonymised usage patterns.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process personal data on the basis of legitimate interest (operating the site and responding to enquiries) and consent (newsletter subscriptions). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

Data retention

Contact form data is retained only as long as necessary to address your enquiry. Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Anonymised analytics data is retained for up to 24 months.
