Dimitra Louana Marlanti studied Architecture at Politecnico di Milano, then Fashion Communication and Marketing at IED. She works as a set designer and creative director between Milan and Athens — a dual base that reflects the shape of a career built across both cities for most of her adult life.

Her set design practice covers fashion editorial, advertising, and brand projects. Credits include the January 2023 lookbook for Mary Katrantzou and a Living Corriere shoot produced through 10AM Artists Management in Athens. She has provided creative direction for campaigns shot by Burak Dirik, including work for Vasiliki by Kiki Karayiannis, whose jewellery appears in Phāon. The professional networks connecting these Athens-based projects are tight and intentional.

She met Alexandros Kalogiros during the COVID-19 pandemic, when both had returned to Athens after years in Italy. They discovered a shared frustration — the niche perfumes and sensory objects that had become part of daily life abroad simply did not exist in Athens — and a shared aspiration to make something personal and tactile from that gap. Phāon opened at Likavittou 29 in Kolonaki as the result: a concept store where her set design instincts shaped the environment as much as any commercial brief.

The floral component of Phāon — seasonal Greek blooms arranged weekly, sourced to support local growers — is her domain specifically. It gives the store a quality that changes with the week and the season, which is consistent with a practice built on attention to the particular rather than the repeatable.
