Yiangos Agiostratitis is the third generation of the Stavridis family, the dynasty that built the Athenian Riviera's first serious hospitality infrastructure. His grandfather, Dr. Yiangos Stavridis, broke ground on The Margi House in Vouliagmeni in 1960 — eighteen luxury apartments in a pinewood forest above the sea, immediately recognised by the press as a private initiative that honoured Greek tourism. The name was a portmanteau of the doctor's two daughters, Maria and Gina. Sixty years later, his grandson is the one running it.

Yiangos trained as an architect and took on the complete renovation of The Margi alongside his mother, Maria Stavridis. The hotel is now 89 rooms and a Small Luxury Hotels of the World member — still entirely family-owned, which in the context of the Riviera's current wave of corporate acquisitions is itself a position. The design language he chose for the renovation is deliberate: artwork gathered from across the world, earth tones, candlelit tables, furnishings that are comfortable first and stylish second. It reads as a hotel that belongs to someone, rather than a brand.
In 2018 Yiangos and his brother Theo opened Krabo, a beach restaurant and bar in Zoska Bay at Kavouri — a protected cove just north of Astir, a short drive from central Athens. He designed the venue himself, building in earth tones across three levels: beach, lounge, and a pergola-shaded restaurant slightly elevated above the waterline. The kitchen runs under Michelin-starred chef Panagiotis Giakalis, with a menu of fresh Mediterranean dishes built on locally sourced, exclusively organic produce. Tuna tartare, grilled octopus, pasta with lobster. The beach is small and the sunbeds go fast. Reservations are required.
His architecture practice, A&A Agiostratitis, operates from Athens. Both projects — the hotel his grandfather built and the beach restaurant he designed from scratch — sit within fifteen minutes of each other on the same stretch of coast.
