A former car dealership on Pireos, reworked by Kokkinou & Kourkoulas: brick outside, a sky-lit courtyard atrium inside, ramps up three levels of exhibition halls. A rotating contemporary programme, an amphitheatre, a courtyard restaurant and a design shop.

National Gallery – Alexandros Soutsos Museum

Greece's national art museum, more than doubled in size by an expansion that reopened in 2021. About a thousand of its roughly 20,000 works hang chronologically over three floors: El Greco's Concert of Angels, Lytras, Gyzis, Parthenis and the Generation of the '30s.
