Kostas Voutsinas designed it down to the stripes and the seagull-shaped shades: four hundred metres of sand fringed by pines, the Temple of Apollo Zoster on the headland, the Four Seasons next door. Open May to October; book sunbeds ahead.

The Greek National Tourism Organisation's flagship bathing complex, designed by Vassiliadis, Sakellariou, Vourekas and Hatzimichalis on 650 metres of coast. Tennis and volleyball courts, the Oceanida café-bar, lifeguards and a doctor on site, and a sea-access ramp with free entry for disabled visitors.
