Kerameikos

10AM Apotheke.

Greece, in small bottles. Weekends only.

A shop-cum-showroom in the basement of the 10AM Lofts on Konstantinoupoleos, founded by Eva Papadaki. Mount Athos beeswax candles, Cretan malotira tea, Messolonghi fleur de sel — Greece, distilled.

Konstantinoupoleos 82, in the basement of the 10AM Lofts. A side street in Kerameikos most maps don't bother naming.

Eva Papadaki grew up in Crete on her grandmother's herb garden, her family's olive press, the bread that came out of the wood oven at the back of the house. She moved to Athens, opened the 10AM Lofts above this room. Then in 2024 she put what she remembered in jars and on shelves and called it the Apotheke — Greek for storeroom, the word the pharmacies still use.

Beeswax from Mount Athos. Fleur de sel from Messolonghi. The basement of the Lofts, weekends only.

The shelves are short and the catalogue is short. Beeswax candles handmade by monks on Mount Athos. Malotira tea from the White Mountains of Crete. Fleur de sel from the Messolonghi salt flats. Olive oil from a single grove. Soaps that smell like things you can name. Incense that the monks burn in the chapels at Vatopedi. Each item from a single producer, each made the slow way.

Open Saturday and Sunday from ten to six. By appointment the rest of the week. The Antiparos pop-up runs in summer. Come for the candles. Stay for the conversation Eva will start the moment you walk in.
