~9 min to the Acropolis
Klakaz has taken over the space that was Six d.o.g.s, with interventions by Point Supreme Architects. A café, kitchen, bar and stage around a tree-shaded garden: Area51 coffee and Canadian-style pizza by day, cocktails, gigs and parties at night.
For years the garden on Avramiotou was Six d.o.g.s — concerts, parties, exhibitions, a fixture of creative Athens. In spring 2026 it reopened as Klakaz, which calls itself an “entertainment cultural centre”. Point Supreme Architects reworked the space; the sticker-covered staircase from the old days is still there.
The day starts with Area51 specialty coffee, eggs, yogurt with kollyva and oversized sandwiches. The kitchen's calling card is a thick, fluffy Canadian-style pizza; dessert means touloumba with whipped cream.
After dark the long bar takes over, with signature cocktails and aperitivi, and the programme runs to live gigs, DJ nights and Sunday parties under the trees.
Why we picked it
A beloved garden brought back to life, from breakfast to the last record. It is one of the few places in the centre that works all day.
