Metaxourgeio

Seychelles

The restaurant that made Avdi Square a destination, back under founding chef Fotis Foteinoglou with Kleomenis Zournatsis and Yannis Markadakis. Handmade papardelle with kavourmas and galotyri still leads; lambs come whole from Naxos, and the service has been rebuilt.

Exarchia Classic

Ama Lachei

A terrace on Kallidromiou, the street of the Saturday market. The daily menu follows what came in that morning, pork with celery root, dakos with heirloom tomatoes, goat with trachanas, and the wine list is Greek only.
