Part of the House of Shila group. Michelin Guide listed.

"The name is Sanskrit. शील. It means character. Mantzarou 10 is the building. The suites do the rest."

The building on Mantzarou 10 dates from the late 1920s. Shila kept the original terrazzo floors, high ceilings, and the wild courtyard garden that runs behind the house. Six suites — Garden Retreat, Romantic Dust, La Bohème, The Dreamers, Attic Antique, Artist Atelier — each with a distinct character. Furniture was sourced from a Greek family-run woodmaking enterprise dating to the 1920s; upholstery from a collection of vintage fabrics gathered from across the world. The name is taken from the Sanskrit word शील — meaning character.

Beyond the six rooms: a roof garden, a Library Lounge, and a courtyard suited to private dinners, exhibitions, film and photo productions, and intimate events. Breakfast is served in-suite — artisanal baked goods, carefully selected local ingredients. Concierge runs 07:30 to 23:30. The hotel produces its own line of products made in partnership with artisanal suppliers from across Greece, available in-house and through the online shop. A sister property, Mona, is in development.

Mantzarou is pedestrianised and quiet. The Benaki Museum is a short walk, the Museum of Cycladic Art two blocks over, Lycabettus accessible on foot. Listed on Mr & Mrs Smith, Tablet Hotels, and the Michelin Guide.
